Taylors Every Day - Week 19

Monday
It was Lizzie Kate's birthday so these three celebrated at Chickfila after school
Ella crashed in car line
They played a game after baths

Tuesday
Caleb had his 6 year old check up
He weighed 52 pounds and was exactly 4 feet tall.  Dr. Buck said if he continues to grow like he has been, then he will bypass Corey in height. He was above average in height and 50% in weight.   Caleb had a great check up!  We were referred back to the audiologist to repeat his hearing screens and see if his hearing is improving with age.
As a reward for being so well behaved at the doctor, we got Snowballs on the way home.
Granddaddy brought his bike over to ride with the kids.
Not sure who was happier about that!
Off they went!

Wednesday
Ella had her end of year school program
Her class did so well singing their ABCs, Days of the Week, and What's the Weather?
Close up with Aubree

Dairy Queen after church with these cuties

Thursday
We rode our bikes down to visit the Stones and these girls immediately started playing dress up

Friday
Dressed and ready for field day
Holding Brooklynn so Melanie could get a few things done :)
Dinner at our house with the Wards, Hutchens, and Boltons
Bath time fun!

While You Were Sleeping - Part 3

My book was packed up and I hadn't been able to do these like I had planned but now that we are getting settled, I want to start back.

Another character trait I pray for Caleb and Ella is obedience.  That is something that I pray daily for at this stage in their lives.  In BSF they learn a song that goes "O is for obey, O is for obey, Obey is doing what we should, O is for obey".  Sometimes when one of them is not listening or doing what I ask, the other one will start singing it.  It is a great reminder for them to stop and obey.

#5 - Obedience

Obedience is a heart attitude that should characterize the spirit of the child, not just an outward act.

Lord, I pray that Caleb and Ella willingly and eagerly obey.  Allow them to recognize that we, as parents, are to guide and direct them and please give us wisdom as we do.  Cultivate in them a desire to develop godly habits through obedience to your Word.  Give them the willingness to be submissive and develop in them a respect for rules.  Please show them the need to show respect by being quick to do what they are told.  Give Caleb and Ella the understanding that You see the things done in secret and you know their innermost thoughts.  Instill in them a desire to obey You.  I ask that each of them will clearly see when they are wrong and that they would be quick to seek forgiveness.  Please give them strength to withstand temptation to disobey and remain firm in obedience to You.

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is just and right."  Ephesians 6:1
(We have a song for this one too that I learned as a child)

"And he went down and was obedient, and increased in wisdom and in understanding and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man"  Luke 2:51-52
(I pray this outloud for you everyday when we say our prayers before you get out of the car at school)

"God sees not as man see, for man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart"
 I Samuel 16:7

"What does the Lord require of you, but to fear the Lord, to walk in His way, to love Him, and to serve Him with all your heard, mind, and strength"  Deuteronomy 10:12

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"  Joshua 24:15

My sweet babies spoiled me with an engraved tray and some gift cards to eat.
