This weekend was a busy, fun weekend with lots of Christmas activities planned. Friday night we had our Sunday School Christmas Party at the Ritchies. We all brought appetizers and had lots of good food. We had a great time talking and ended up hanging out til after midnight since we were kid free for the evening.
The girls at the party (Kelly, me, Heather, Audrey, Jamie) -
and Michelle who left before we took the picture.
The boys at the party (Daniel, Josh, Danny, Crawford, and Corey) -
and Guy who left before we took the picture.
We missed the people in our class who could not make the party
but we know December is a busy month with a lot going on.
Saturday was a busy day. We started out by going to Raleigh to get pictures made of the kids and Owen. Mama bought them 2 sets of matching outfits.
Here are a few pictures that I took with my camera of the pictures...
The Raynor Cousins - Ella, Owen, and Caleb
My two cuties.
We ended up only buying pictures in one of the outfits - the other outfit pictures were not as cute. Ella wasn't very cooperative smiling!
Then we headed to the mall for a little shopping and to get our pictures made with Santa...
Riding the train in the mall with Mammy shopped and Owen ate...
Standing in line at the "North Pole" to see Santa...all smiles.
Ella is not a Santa fan. When you mention his name, she says "I don't like him" and she told me she was not going to sit in his lap. I told the people there that she would probably cry and just to nap a quick picture so I could have the memory of it. I'll let the picture speak for itself...
Ella was not a fan - she screamed. Caleb on the other hand did great. He told Santa that he wanted a Big Wheel and that he lived in Rocky Mount, North Carolina so Santa could find his house.
We wore this girl out!
She took a good nap while Mammy did a little more shopping and we sat in the car.
When we got back to town, we met up with the McKeels for a little Christmas fun in downtown Wilson.
Mattox and Caleb being silly - they were so excited about going ice skating!
The girls waiting while the boys skated!
Corey and Caleb ice skating
Chris and Mattox ice skating
Caleb taking a break for a quick picture - this boy had a good time!
The girls were so patient waiting and watching their brothers.
We headed over to the Arts Council for some hot chocolate to warm up and we ran into one of Caleb's best buddies from school - Mallory! He got so excited when he saw her.
Making Christmas crafts
Ella joined in on the fun!
Then we got on the hayride and headed to Santa's village
The girls on the hayride
At Santa's village - we met Santa!
The boys hopped right into his lap!
Madi Grace and Santa. I was a nice mama and didn't make Ella sit on his lap this time :)
She wouldn't even get close enough to him to get a piece of candy from him!
We also ate roasted marshmallows at Santa's Village!
It was so cold outside (especially since we had gotten used to warm weather - 80 degrees yesterday) so we headed to Applebees to warm up and eat some supper.
It was a great night with great friends! We love doing fun things at Christmas!
