This has been just another week, and not really a good one. Corey's grandma is still in the hospital, Dad has been really weak due to his latest round of chemo, we are missing Corey and are back to the routine of school, work, homework and early bedtimes!
Monday
We enjoyed Labor Day at the lake with the Taylors
Tuesday
Heading to football and cheerleading practice - Ella cracks me up with this visor!
These girls are happy to be cheering together
Caleb got his first prize at school with his Knight dollars - a new Hot wheel car!
Wednesday
This girl has been waking up before 6 so she comes in the bathroom while I get ready and hands me my make up as I need it - she's a great assistant!
After a rough day for Ella on Tuesday, they went walking in for the first time by themselves. I snapped this picture as I drove away.
Note - Ella got in the car on Tuesday and busted into tears - said she had missed me all day and held her tears in. On Wednesday, she wanted to walk in by herself so I told Caleb to walk with her. He said "Mommy I tried but she would only let me walk her to the K hall, not all the way to class." Thankfully her being sad was only short lived and she loves being independent!
We had to take a picture of Caleb in his favorite reading spot for a project at school
We had water night at church - these two were life savers helping me get the water balloons tied and ready to go!
These girls were a big help too!
We started off with pizza and relay races!
Caleb's turn trying to run and squeeze water out of the sponge.
Ella digging rocks out of ice cold water with her feet
Caleb helping Luke and Bradley looking on
Ready to Slip and Slide
Group shot before we let them begin
Slip and Slide and Suds - so much fun!
Mr. Greg with all the water balloons
Water balloon fight
Doug dumped water on Linda - he better watch his back!
Everyone was going at it!
These three had more fun than the kids I think on the slip and slide!
Thursday
Ready for bed in her new PJs
Friday
I went to lunch with the kids on Friday and of course they wanted ice cream
Caleb picked Grayson to eat with us
Me and my handsome 2nd grader
After school we headed to Haley's 5th Birthday, it was bunny themed and so cute!
The Three Musketeers
Pin the tail on the bunny
Caleb's turn
On Friday night, my boy packed his bag and headed off to spend the night with a friend for the first time. Staci took Caleb and I got Lizzie Kate.
We had a fun girly time - bubble bath!
Painted their fingernails and toenails silver to match their cheerleading uniform
Popped popcorn and watched "Sleeping Beauty" and finally crashed around 10:30 pm!
Saturday
The girls got ready to cheer at their first football game!
They might not have known all the words to the cheers but they looked cute!
She looked so big on the sidelines
Running out when they called her name
Halftime cheers
We helped the youth paint the wall in the Youth Room at church and it looks so good! Can't wait to see it finished!
Ella played in the nursery with her baby Madio while we worked
That afternoon was Caleb's first flag football game
Ready to go!
Crawford, Audrey and Ethan were so sweet to come watch him! We just love these friends who are more like family!
Caleb's biggest fan made it out to his first game!
Thankfully we had a pool party after the game to cool off cause it was hot!
We headed to celebrate Haley's birthday at her family party.
Sunday
After being gone for two weeks to Sweden, we are so glad Corey is back!!!
After church we headed to see GG in the hospital while the kids played at the park and got ice cream with Mema and their cousins.
SHEEWWWW It was a scorcher on Saturday but we had fun!
