Monday

Caleb's 1st day of 2nd Grade

He also said he was EXCITED for school. He is happy about all of his friends in his class, just wishes one of his best buddies Seth was with him too.

After we dropped Caleb off, me and Ella headed to dentist appointments.

She did great and got several prizes from the prize box.

We took Korie over to meet the bunnies!

Milkshakes to end a great first day

Caleb loved school with one exception - there was a mix up at dismissal time and they tried to put him on the bus. He started crying and thankfully his teacher was really sweet and let him go to car line. (Of course she tried to call me and my phone had died in car line). He looked sad when I picked him up but as soon as he got in, he burst into tears and said "You signed me up for the bus?" I had to explain that it was mix up and I emailed his teacher as soon as we got home to get it straight.

We also officially launched the "Crosses for Christmas" Campaign in dad's honor.

Tuesday

Ella's last day before starting school so I told her we could do whatever she wanted

She picked going to Target and spending some of her birthday money on getting her Bitty Baby a few more clothes

She wanted Panera for lunch

Broccoli Soup in a bread bowl is her favorite, just like her Mema!

Haley and Claire met us for lunch and pedicures!

And her last request was a donut with pink icing and sprinkles so we grabbed one to eat in car line

Wednesday

Ella started Kindergarten! My how time flies!

Funny Story - when Caleb was going to K, he cried a lot and missed me so I would put "XOXO" on the inside of his hands so he would have a hug and kiss when he needed it. I tried to do the same for Ella but she looked at me like I was crazy. I explained what I was doing and she said "You can hug and kiss me before you leave but I don't want that mess on my hand" Ha!

She is definitely different from Caleb and hasn't shed a single tear and wants to go to school!

Ella loved school! She came to the car skipping and talking a mile a minute! The counselor walked her to the car and said "She did great". Ella said "Can I come back tomorrow? Please say yes, please say yes". SO thankful she loves it and pray it continues!

Such a happy girl! They read the "Kissing Hand" and went on a treasure hunt around the school to learn their way around and find hearts with messages that their parents had written.

Her teacher had us write message on hearts at Open House so they could find them their first day - loved this idea!
