We had our annual Raynor Beach Trip the week after school got out - this year me and the kids were able to go Tuesday thru Sunday. Corey came down for the weekend.
Mom, the kids and I left Tuesday afternoon and took our time getting there and made some stops to shop and eat along the way.
Our house was on a big hill but 2nd row so a quick walk to the beach
The boys had to go and find the paci that got dropped in the cactus
Wednesday morning we couldn't wait to get to the beach!
Riding the waves was their favorite
We broke two boogie boards right away - they were old - some that Granddaddy had bought a while ago!
This sweet boy loves the beach
Ella loves being buried in the sand
Close up - she is growing up so fast!
We had to stay close cause the waves were rough
Finding sand fiddlers
Ella loves finding little baby ear sea shells
Our family names in the sand by Ella
I sure do love these two and they love each other!
This girl was so happy to be at the beach with her seashell bag
Ella loved digging holes with Collin
These boys play so good together - two peas in a pod at the beach
Mermaid Ella
Thursday we made reservations for Sand Dollar Island but there was a mix up so we didn't get to go!
We could see the boat but no one was there to drive us - the guy accidentally scheduled us a week later
The kids were a little disappointed since we had gotten them up so early but we made the most of the day! We got breakfast and coffee and headed to the park.
Ella is such a monkey on the monkey bars - girl has no fear!
Can't believe Eli and Owen will be in K this fall!
They played in the splash park while we waited for the aquarium to open
Ella loved helping with Collin - she is such a little mama!
We went to see the dinosaur exhibit at the aquarium
These boys knew a lot of facts about dinosaurs
Some of them spit water and it felt so good!
Ella liked seeing all the dinosaurs too!
Bird show we had never seen at the aquarium
The pelican was neat and several birds flew around during the show
Touch tank was everyone's favorite
The aquarium never gets old to them
These two are the sweetest playing together - they like the same things and encourage each other. I hope they stay close just like I have with Nicole and Amy.
Outside play area
Raynor cousins in the tree
Caleb is Brooklynn's favorite (besides Mammy of course!)
Sweet cousins - these two sure do love each other!
Collin got a nap in
Digging for shark teeth - they found quite a few!
More beach time
Uncle Kent always plays with them and is a lot of fun
Of course we had to get ice cream several times at the beach!
Like dad, Kent is quite the fisherman. All the boys enjoyed it and they caught enough for us to have a nice fish fry on Saturday night.
Dinner time one night - kids always gathered around a kindle after they got done eating.
Ipad buddies
Eli was also a card shark and tried to beat us all in card games - he was sneaky and it was so funny!
More beach pics - not sure which day
Building sandcastles
More fishing
Caleb fishing - he loves it like Granddaddy and Pepa
Eli is so good at posing for pictures
Ella and Brooklynn loved looking for shells
Collin and Mimi
Ella was so happy to have her own boogie board!
These two rode so many waves in and had a blast on their boogie boards
Owen loved the waves - but they were a little rough!
Collin was such a easy baby - taking naps on the beach
We were constantly having to tell the kids to come back - they kept getting further and further out
Sweet girl
Riding the waves with Eli
It rained a lot and the road we had to cross to get to the beach was flooded one day
Love these two!
They had a blast with their cousins at the beach
Scott caught a lot of fish and the kids all wanted to see them
Friday night we went out to eat and took the kids to play putt putt
Ready to ride the cart at Lost Treasure
The chaperones :) We had fun too!
All the kids did great at putt putt
Saturday we headed back to go to Sand Dollar Island and it was Big Rock Time
It was neat seeing the big fish come in - we knew the guy who drove the boat for this fish
I had never been so it was neat to see it
Waiting for the Sand Dollar Island boat to leave on Saturday - they rescheduled us so we could still go out while we were there!
On the boat headed out to Sand Dollar Island
Fun times but the ride was rough! We did see a lot of dolphins close up and that was neat
Sand Dollar Island
We found a lot of live ones but not many dead ones and you couldn't take the live ones from the island
Snack time while we were there
We wore Brooklynn out!
It was also Oreo's first trip to the beach
She wasn't a big fan of the sand and kept blowing it out of her nose
Ella sure does love her puppy
Sweet Oreo
The boys fished and fished but they loved it
Sweet little B always looking cute!
Late night fishing and Aiden caught a shark!
Amy made shirts and we tried to get a group shot Sunday morning before we left
We realized we should have done it earlier in the week but the time went so fast!
Sweet cousins - so thankful for these traditions our parents started and still continue today
We headed home on Fathers Day which is bitter sweet for us
We had a good day celebrating Corey when we got home with a low key afternoon and dinner!
