Life Lately - Busy Busy and Lake Weeknd with Friends

I was hoping summer would slow down but it seems like it has been just as busy and time is flying!

Sunday

Working in the garden and putting up corn was a family event

Monday

We began to decorate for VBS - "Journey to Egypt - Joseph's Story" 

The kids played with Lauren and then at Claire's house - Caleb was the only boy but a good sport! 

Owen, Kent and Mom came for dinner - We missed Melanie and Brooklynn who was sick!

Tuesday 

Looking more and more like Egypt 

That afternoon we drove to Greensboro to see the Hendersons - Ella loved Jonathan and all the kids loved the escalators!

It was so good to see Amanda!  Mom enjoyed visiting with her mom too!

Wednesday 

 Science week at Mrs. D'Shay's - making a volcano

VBS Shopping turned into Birthday shopping for this girl

Caleb had a play date with Grayson and then came home to help make VBS crafts 

We went to Defy Gravity that night with some church friends - Ella and Leah have really become buddies lately!

Thursday

Abner girls came to play

That evening we drove to the lake for our annual Friends weekend

Friday 

Early morning fishing - everyone wanted to touch the fish Caleb caught

All the kids love Crawford and wanted to play

We had a delicious dinner of pork, potatoes, green beans and corn! 

Paddle boating was all fun and games til it started lightning 

Guys ended the night with Scrabble - Girls did what we do best and just talked!

Saturday

Queens of the Lake House 

Corey and Caleb took off sailing 

Boat riding - we went to check on Corey and Caleb who had a hard time getting back when the wind died down

This girl was cold so Josh rigged up the heat for her 

It was a chilly day - loaded up and riding the boat to Washburns for lunch

It was the end of July but only in the 70s - crazy! 

We tried to get the kids to rest since it was chilly but that didn't last long! 

Caleb and Audrey headed out to tube

We went to get pizza for dinner and it was CRAZY!

Sunday 

It was cold so the guys grabbed sweatshirts and headed on the boat to get breakfast! 

Ella wanted to hold Ethan and he would let her when he was in the TV zone! 

Ella was happy Leah came to play!
