On Saturday, me and 20 other women from church went to Princeton to hear Lysa TerKeurst at the Intentionally and Wonderfully Made Women's Conference.
Here are just a few things I took away and wanted to share...
#1 - When everything is falling apart, It Shall Be Well!
Here are a few tips - Make room for God, guard your lips, beware of negative people (you know those baptized in pickle juice!), go straight to the source (The Book, not Facebook), there is power in prayer no matter your situation and praise God in the good times and the bad).
2 - When stressed, remember you are just managing blessings!
One of the many things that stuck out to me was that some of my biggest stressors are my biggest blessings. Think about it - what stresses you out? Your job, your children, your husband, the mound of laundry that you need to fold. Those are probably your biggest blessings as well. Instead of being stressed, think about all the blessings you have! It will change your perspective!
#3 - Humility is not a position of weakness, but actually a position of great strength.
Wise women in the Bible went to people in humility and accomplished great things for God.
#4 - We must watch where we pay attention, remember our intentions and remember who you are.
Wisdom makes decisions today that are still good for tomorrow. My job is to be obedient and let God do the rest. We are a child of the most High God - we are enough. With God all things are possible!
#5 - Change me through your Word instead of my circumstances.
Sometimes it is us who need to change and not everyone and everything around us.
It was an amazing day and a great way to focus on what is really important in 2016! We look forward to making this an annual event!
Love the recap!! Such an awesome day!
