We left Wednesday night for a long weekend getaway with the Taylor side of the family at Nags Head. It was a fun time with 8 kids - all 5 and under!
Lena and Ella were so happy to see each other when we got there.

Thursday morning the boys got up early and started working on the TV at Mason and Jessica's beach house

Then we headed to the beach for fun in the sun with cousins

The boys wanted to play in the water but the water was so cold they didn't get too far.

Thursday night the grandparents were so nice to keep the kids and let us have a nice dinner out!
We ate dinner on the sound and the sunset was beautiful

We hit the beach first thing and Caleb started picking up seashells again
The water was warmer on Friday and Caleb loved riding the boogie board

The girls were tired so they laid on their beach towels and used their swimmies for pillows. They never fell asleep but laid there giggling and talking for a little while.

The girls made some friends on the beach and played with them a while.
The next day the girls came running up to play again and looked at Ella and said "Well there is Ella Bella Katherine". She must have told them that was her name. So funny! She hears Ella Bella so much she thinks it is a middle name.

Me, Mitzi and the kids stayed on the beach til 7 pm that night while everyone else headed back to cook. These girls were so tired on the way back to the house!

Saturday morning we woke up to rain!
So there was a lot of inside fun - boys playing a game on the computer

After dinner, all the kids piled on the couch for a movie
Sunday morning we woke up to car trouble - my car wouldn't start and the trunk wouldn't open
After we got the car fixed, we headed to breakfast

The ocean made a little river with a current and the kids would ride on their boogie board down the beach
and then pick up the board and run back to do it again

We left the beach about 7:00 on Sunday night and had a quiet ride home!
The kids were exhausted!
We had so much fun! We are thankful for time away with family!
