Thanksgiving Weekend

This Thanksgiving was different for us with Mike not being here and Daddy in the hospital.

Even though the past few months have been very difficult for both of our families, we have a lot to be thankful for and these two are at the top of the list :)

Remembering Mike/Daddy/PePa

Mike passed away peacefully in the presence of Susan and all his boys on Thursday night around 8:45 pm.  While our hearts are broken, we are so thankful he isn't suffering anymore.  We had some wonderful family time this weekend - just enjoying being together and remembering the wonderful memories we have with him.  The celebration of life was a sweet service and reflected what a honest, hardworking man he was who loved farming, hunting, fishing and above all else his family.

Here are a few pictures I love of the Memorial Video that was made...

Visiting with PePa

This weekend we went to visit PePa and spend some time with him.  He has been battling cancer for 3.5 years and his time with us on earth is coming to an end.  While we are so sad and will miss him, we know that he will be healed in Heaven and we will see him again!
Hanging out in PePa's bedroom on his walker
Ella was so good with him and talked to him and sang him songs.
We also visited with GG and PhePhe and cousins.
MeMa and Caleb wrestled - looks like MeMa won!
The girls enjoying their tent
Playing in the soybeans that Uncle Mason is picking
Helping Mason measure the humidity of the beans
Ella sliding in them
Climbing up in the combine
Riding the combine while Mason picked
Caleb driving - watch out!
Ella loves holding Jules
Lena's turn - sweet Taylor girls!
Saturday night the boys cooked oysters for everyone to enjoy
Caleb tried them and like them!

We enjoyed some quality family time this weekend and just being together!
